• Allowed to be fast and loose
• Last snapshot is a pre-release:
  • Institutes a feature freeze until release
  • Released 24h before release for closed-beta testing

Official Releases

• Based on the pre-release snapshot
• Make sure changelog is up-to-date
• Change all the versioning numbers to be correct
• Make a new git tag
