- Allow texture packs to specify seasonal textures / color maps
- Biomes are divided up in season types
- 4-season biomes
- Wet/dry biomes
- Single season biomes (desert, etc)
Goals
- Seasons are mostly cosmetic
- Temperature mechanics add meaningful in-game mechanics on top
- These mechanics should not force the player to carry a bunch of extra armor sets
- An extra thirst mechanic is overkill and probably just tedious
- Hunger is already heavily overloaded and tedious, max health is currently unused
Temperature Mechanics
- Armors that lower dehydration: sandals, wicker hat, potentially greaves (like spartan sandals + armor) and others
- Armors that lower cold: variety of padded armors
- Heavy armors dehydrate more, but offer better cold protection
- One dehydration point lowers your max health by half a heart
- Base dehydration in a hot biome is 4 points
- Sandals/wicker hat/greaves lower dehydration by 2 points
- Each armor piece lowers dehydration by 1 point (except for padded armors)
